Following on from his lauded 2014 debut Sweet Disarray, Dan Croll has announced the follow up. Called Emerging Adulthood, it out on July 21st via Communion Records, and contains previous singles ‘One of Us’ and ‘Swim’ as well as the recent ‘Away from Today’.
The album was recorded in Atlanta with producer Ben Allen, about who Croll says “I chose Ben because I love how he’s bounced around genres…..He’s worked with Deerhunter and Animal Collective, won a Grammy with Cee-Lo Green and collaborated with Kelis and Amerie. I can relate to that because I’m just as skittish, genre-wise. My aim is to approach pop from an unusual angle.”
Check out the video for Swim here, which features Rebecca Hawley from Stealing Sheep.
