Chaka Khan is making her grand return to Australia and New Zealand this April for a trio of unmissable headline shows. The Queen of Funk—a ten-time Grammy winner, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, and certified music icon—will hit Auckland’s The Civic (April 16), Melbourne’s Palais Theatre (April 18), and Sydney Opera House Concert Hall (April 22).
With a career spanning over five decades, Chaka’s soul-shaking vocals and genre-defying sound have made her a force in funk, R&B, soul, and pop. She first made waves in the ‘70s as the powerhouse frontwoman of Rufus, delivering gold and platinum records that redefined funk’s place in mainstream music. As a solo artist, she cemented her legend status with ‘I Feel for You’, bringing Prince’s vision to life with an electrifying mix of soul, hip-hop, and synth-pop.
Beyond her own timeless catalogue, Chaka’s influence runs deep, having collaborated with some of music’s most revered names—Ry Cooder, Robert Palmer, Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, Guru, Chicago, Joni Mitchell, Gladys Knight, De La Soul, Mary J. Blige, Ariana Grande, and Sia, to name just a few.
Expect soul-stirring anthems, powerhouse vocals, and a masterclass in funk history when Chaka takes the stage this April.

Chaka Khan will also perform at Bluesfest, Byron Bay on April 20.
