News: Busted Sets Sights on Australia – Announce Oct/Nov Tour

Busted

Busted, one of the United Kingdom’s most beloved pop-punk bands, is set to tour the East Coast of Australia later this year. The tour will commence on Wednesday, 30th October, at Melbourne’s Forum, followed by a performance at the Eatons Hill Hotel Ballroom in Brisbane on Friday, 1st November. The tour will conclude at The Roundhouse in Sydney on Sunday, 3rd November.

Busted burst out of Essex in 2000, hitting the scene hard with their debut single ‘What I Go To School For,’ which rocketed to #3 on the UK charts. The band is made up of James Bourne, Charlie Simpson, and Matt Willis. James Bourne, known for his energetic stage presence, plays guitar and provides vocals, often sharing songwriting duties. Charlie Simpson alternates between guitar and drums while delivering powerful lead and backing vocals. Matt Willis, the charismatic bassist, also contributes vocals, adding depth to the band’s harmonies.

Over the years, Busted has crafted a legacy that’s left an indelible mark on the music world. Good Charlotte, Ed Sheeran, Lewis Capaldi, 5 Seconds of Summer, and The Vamps all cite the band as a key inspiration. The Jonas Brothers covered Busted’s ‘Year 3000’ on their debut album, turning it into a platinum-selling hit with over a million copies sold.

“Finally…. Can’t believe Busted have never actually played in Australia. We are so excited to get over to the east coast this Oct/Nov. It’s gonna be mega! Let’s jump around and lose our minds!!! Busted are fully back! “
