Ahead of October album release, Temptator (their 6th full-length outing) The Blackwater Fever return to bring us this gem of a slow-burning, yet electric ballad.
Right from its’ opening bars (played with a guitar sound that wouldn’t be out of place in a modern-day spaghetti western) The Hurt takes you on a brooding and gritty journey through the whiskey-soaked pain of a relationship turned sour. The song rises and falls as you ride through the emotional push and pull, underpinned by a lush wash of orchestral strings which promises to heal your broken spirit, but ultimately leads you out to its moody, cinematic ending.
The Hurt will be released on Thursday, 28th July. Preview and Pe-sale available here.
The Blackwater Fever are celebrating the release of this new song with a short run of live shows, the first being at Greasers Bar in Brisbane on Saturday, 30th July (details here) and Eleven Dive Bar in Maroochydore on Sunday, 3st July (details here).
