Veteran New York City alternative rockers Blonde Redhead are releasing a 20th anniversary deluxe vinyl edition of their fifth album, ‘Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons’, on September 4th via legendary Chicago noise rock label Touch and Go.
Copies of the release will be limited to 2000 and pressed on 180-gram opaque magenta pink vinyl. The records will feature new cover art and previously unseen photos documenting the recording of the album by Fugazi guitarist Guy Picciotto.
In a statement, the band confirmed the release would feature the album’s originally uncredited closing track, ‘For the Damaged Coda’, the use of which as recurring incidental music on cult animation Rick and Morty they say has caused the album to acquire “a rabid new fanbase” in recent years.
