Better Lovers unleash their debut album, Highly Irresponsible, today via SharpTone Records—a record that shows the band is here to make a statement. The album builds on the buzz of three pre-release singles: ‘At All Times,’ a modern power ballad that Heavy Magazine called “a whole new dimension” of the band’s sound; ‘A White Horse Covered in Blood,’ a track that Consequence praised for nailing “the sweet spot between thrash metal and hardcore”; and ‘Future Myopia,’ with its surreal frog-laden video, hailed by Revolver as “another wide-scope crusher.”

Next up, Better Lovers hit the road for their first North American tour, kicking off on the 3 November with openers Full of Hell, SPY, Cloakroom, and Gouge Away. On 14 December, they’ll throw down at their now-annual BLissmas extravaganza—a rowdy night with performances from Converge, Freshwater, Dying Wish, and more, plus a wrestling showcase led by The Butcher Andy Williams.

In January, the band heads to the U.K. with Frontierer and Greyhaven along for the ride, proving Highly Irresponsible is not just a release—it’s a manifesto. Better Lovers are staking their claim in the hardcore scene with unrelenting energy, genre-blurring sound, and a community-first ethos that promises chaos and catharsis at every stop.

Better Lovers is a band made up of heavy music veterans—Jordan Buckley, Clayton “Goose” Holyoak, Stephen Micciche, Greg Puciato, and Will Putney. They hit the ground running in 2023 with their debut single, ’30 Under 13,’ followed by the blistering God Made Me An Animal EP.

Better Lovers have toured North America twice and made their presence known with sold-out European shows and festival appearances that have put them on the map as one of the most exciting new forces in heavy music.
