News: Barry Adamson Announces New Supports for Upcoming East-Coast Australian Tour

Barry Adamson returns to Australia this March for an East Coast tour in support of his tenth album, Cut To Black. Known for his cinematic scope and experimental approach, Adamson remains a singular figure in modern music, and this tour offers a rare chance for Australian audiences to witness his artistry live.

“I’m over the moon about heading back to God’s Country next year. It’s been too long away from my Aussie brothers and sisters! Can’t wait to bring my new album down under. It’s gonna be such a great time so come one come all to the shows!” – Barry Adamson

The run kicks off in Castlemaine with support from Hugo Race—ex-Bad Seeds guitarist and frontman of The Wreckery—whose brooding, atmospheric soundscapes bring a raw, narrative intensity to the stage. Melbourne and Sydney audiences will also see The Wreckery reunite, with Race joined by Nick Barker for a set of moody, post-punk-infused rock ‘n’ roll. Brisbane’s show will feature McKisko, whose ethereal songwriting and delicate vocal delivery provide a striking contrast to Adamson’s noir-drenched aesthetic.

Barry Adamson first carved out his legacy as the bass-wielding powerhouse behind post-punk pioneers Magazine before stepping into the dark, twisted world of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. But Adamson was never one to stay in the background. His cinematic vision and brooding sonic landscapes soon saw him branch out, scoring a hefty chunk of David Lynch’s Lost Highway—a soundtrack as eerie and unshakable as the film itself.

With a lineup that reflects Adamson’s own genre-blurring legacy, this tour promises to be an essential event for fans of bold, boundary-pushing music.
