The icons that are The Hard-Ons will undertake a 13 date Australian tour with a European tour to follow to celebrate 40 years as Australian punk rock’s quintessential great survivors.
Alongside this great news is the announcement of a new single, Buzz Buzz Buzz, co-written between Peter ‘Blackie’ Black and Tim Rogers, the band’s ‘new’ singer/frontman.
Buzz Buzz Buzz, out today on Cheersquad Records & Tapes, is the first taste of the current Hard-Ons line-up’s yet to be announced third album. It’s a great, razor-sharp pop song driven by intense energy and power, and is a taste of things to come. ‘Blackie’ says of the collaborative effort “Our best collaboration so far. When Tim said ‘I wanna get a little left of center with the melody on this,’ I was BLOWN away (but not surprised)”.
To add further to the news from The Hard-Ons camp is the exciting prospect of a new feature length documentary film, The Most Australian Band Ever, which will premiere October 16th at Sydney’s SXSW festival.
