News: A. Savage Returns To Australia Following Latest Album Release ‘Several Songs About Fire’ + Tour Dates

After a self-imposed exile to Paris, A. Savage, the acclaimed frontman of Parquet Courts, has returned to Australia to tour his latest album ‘Several Songs About Fire’ (out now via Rough Trade / Remote Control). Talking about the album, Savage says, “I imagine myself playing these songs in a small club that is slowly burning. Fire is something you have to escape from, and in a way, this album is about escaping from something. This album is a burning building, and these songs are things I’d leave behind to save myself.

The album is full of rich, evocative storytelling, blending Savage’s poetic lyrics with a raw intensity. Each track offers a glimpse into his world, from introspective musings on personal escape to broader reflections on societal issues. Produced by John Parish in Bristol, ‘Several Songs About Fire’ features contributions from Savage’s talented friends Cate Le Bon and her bandmates, as well as Jack Cooper (Modern Nature, Ultimate Painting).

With a decade of New York life behind him, Savage’s latest album marks a new chapter and one that rebels against the screen-dominated world we live in, offering listeners a more tactile, sensory experience. The album explores themes of wealth and poverty, self and others, with a depth and maturity that builds on his 2017 solo debut, ‘Thawing Dawn‘.

Fans of A. Savage can look forward to an intimate and powerful performance as he brings his latest work to life on stage. Tickets for the Eora/Sydney show are on sale now and can be purchased here.
