Renowned producer 1000 Beasts has unveiled his latest track, ‘Cherry Delight,’ featuring the talented artist Tomike. The song wastes no time in establishing its warm ambiance, characterized by a grooving drumline, heartfelt piano chords, and a twangy guitar. Additionally, a whistling string line gracefully complements the composition. As the vocals come into focus, Tomike delivers a stunning lead performance adorned with angelic harmonies. The production exudes a shimmering and intricate quality that captivates listeners, immersing them in a world of musical enchantment.
Speaking about the new release, 1000 Beasts commented, “I first met Tomike during the pandemic when we collaborated on ‘Ériú’ with Body & Soul. After our successful collaboration on the remix of ‘It’s Like,’ I knew I wanted her to be part of my upcoming album. I sent her some beats, she shared her ideas, and that’s how ‘Cherry Delight’ came to be. I have a deep affection for this track; it seamlessly blends our artistic styles, infusing a fresh vibe while retaining the essence of my earlier work. I’m genuinely excited about it!”
With a debut in 2017, 1000 Beasts has emerged as one of the most prolific producers from Cork in recent times. His first full-length album, ‘Naruda,’ released in April 2022, garnered acclaim and featured collaborations with esteemed artists such as FeliSpeaks, Célia Tiab, LENII, Arthur Valentine, April, and Orla Gartland. The album found success on various streaming platforms.
The 1000 Beasts project operates on a straightforward yet innovative concept: one producer collaborates with different artists to create music that transcends individual talents, resulting in a collective synergy greater than the sum of its parts. This approach has paved the way for a highly anticipated sophomore album from 1000 Beasts, scheduled for release in late 2023.
As ‘Cherry Delight’ enchants listeners with its captivating melodies, 1000 Beasts continues to push the boundaries of sonic exploration, solidifying his position as one to watch.
