Out today on Adrian Recordings is the new single from the Malmö, Swedish slacker band YAST. Its the first glimpse of what’s to come from their second album, due out later in the year. It’s been two years since the five piece released their debut, self-titled album, which took them around the world.
It flowers and sweetens right from the off, these long, winding guitar lines, cutting through the echo, as the vocal is matched with similarly saacerine backing vocals, as it manages to melt your heart and give you a spring in your step, even with the (inevitable, you might think) melancholy. Maybe its that shimmering percussion that rings throughout that makes it so special, or maybe its just that melody is so irresistible. Either way, its made us thirsty for more.
