Taken from their latest, fourth album Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave, is the new single from Scottish grunge / shoe gazers The Twilight Sad. ‘I Could Give You All That You Don’t Want’ was one of the stand out tracks on the record anyway, and it drops on February 9th through Fat Cat on a limited run of 7″ picture discs, accompanied by an all-new track, ‘The Airport’ – only available through select independent record stores and the Twilight Sad online store.
It opens with these slightly sour chords, over the driving bassline. As with much of the album its slightly downcast, but there’s a warmth about the music in with the bitterness, the close chords and backing vocal harmonies add to this, but its James Graham’s voice that captivates, drawing you into the storylines, as the music ebbs and flows, taking the odd unexpected left turn here and there just to keep you on your toes.
The album, was brilliant, and this is one of the gems that’s contained within.
