Ahead of a handful of dates supporting Montaigne on tour, Sydney singer-songwriter Sophie Lowe has released another song taken from her upcoming EP, out in November. Called Pink Flowers, its sultry, delicate pop music, laying down these layers of (generally) slow moving synths and stripped back pads and percussion.
Produced by Lowe and Sydney based producer Neal Sutherland, there’s this claustrophobic feel about it, which only serves to accentuate the kooky, beautiful vocal that Lowe puts down. It gently ebbs and flows, bass heavy at times, melody heavy throughout. On this evidence, Sophie Lowe is destined for big things.
