London post-rock indie band Nonta make the kind of atmospheric music that has you screaming Daughter and Sigur Ros (well, maybe not screaming, more fervently whispering). Ahead of their forthcoming debut EP Pulse, the band have shared the title track.
It cracks through the silence, layers of intertwining guitars, glockenspiel and cello, its woody beauty really shining though. From there it winds its wistful, slightly doleful way through with added percussion until the ethereal female vocals are added. AS with all these things (and quite right too) it ebbs and flows, flexing its muscles as it becomes louder and more muscular, whirling itself into almost a frenzy before finally fading away.
It’s seriously beautiful stuff. Remember the name.
