Already working with the current flavours of the month of the producing game, namely Djemba Djemba, The Picard Brod and Lido, Liz mixes up her own blend of Y2K pop with a good old dollop of Aaliyah style RnB with glitchy pop and splash of garage, she follows up her debut EP ‘Just like you’ with a new single, Hush.
It opens with this fanfare, to herald her exquisite RnB pipes as she flows through something that tips its hat to its influences, the aforementioned Aaliyah being the most obvious, but keeping it in the present with this shuddering bass and dribbling beats in the accompaniment.
Its this sort of quality thats seen her open for Blondie at SXSW and collaborate with Young Money rapper Tyga on the track Don’t Say. Keep an eye on Liz – you’re looking at the future of pop music.
