Kubalove, aka Anna Jackson, is back with a a new slice of luscious synth pop in the foe of ‘This Foolish Love’. Having had an immediate impact with last years singles ‘Dangerous’ and ‘All I want’, it’s the first new material since entering the studio and drops on October 16th.
Sitting somewhere slightly leftfield and grimmer than Goldfrapp, the track begins with bubbling synths and stuttering beats, until Jacksons sultry vocal luxuriates over layers of hard edged synth lines and this rumbling bassline. Described by Kubalove as “about the desire to keep coming back for something that’s bad for you,” there’s something of he Madonna about the seductiveness of the delivery.
If that wasn’t enough, check out the accompanying video, shot in conjunction with James John Media (Disclosure, Rudimental, Sigma) and starring he model Peliroja as the object of desire contained within the song.
