Farnham pop punks released a new video for recent single Distrait, taken from the bands forthcoming third EP, ‘The Mould You Build Yourself Around’, out via Rude Records (Set It Off, Blood Youth, Less Than Jake) on 10th February 2017.
Distrait, distracted or absent-minded for those that don’t know, is a pulsating, muscular slice of pop-punk, that raises itself above the parapet by having bigger riffs and bigger melodies and bigger harmonies than the majority of it’s competition. Charlie Boughton’s vocal soars over the top, with just enough anger to pull of the punk, and plenty of quality to pull of the pop.
Talking of the track, Boughton says “It’s very easy to just ignore your problems and let them get on top of you because you don’t wish to burden others with it or in the fear they won’t understand. By my own admission, I know I do this and subsequently, I come across very distant and absent minded, even in the company of friends and family. This song is itself, my admission and I hope it can encourage others to open up and talk about things.”
