Heron Oblivion are making it easy for us to love them with their new single Your Hollows. Although they’re a new band out of San Francisco, they boast members of Sic Alps, Six Organs of Admittance, Howlin’ Rain and Feral Ohms amongst others, as well as Meg Baird of Espers.
Taken from their debut self-titled album, out on March 4th via Sub Pop, Your Hollows teeters on the edge of English folk and Psychedelia, Bairds vocal s thing of beauty (no surprise there) as it gently twists both itself and your expectations whilst your mind soaks up the melody and locks it away for safekeeping. Just when you think that might be it, so begins an incredible guitar led, fuzz filled wig out to the end.
