Who inspired you to start making music

At the time (8 years ago) bands like We Are The In Crowd, As It Is, All Time Low and BMTH but also guitar bands like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.

And the one or maybe two records that inspired you artistically

As It Is – Never Happy Ever After – seemed to capture the moment.

Linkin Park – Hybrid Theory – just awesome.

Led Zeppelin –  IV – Incredible guitar, drums, vocals, bass, mandolin etc.

If you’re trying to explain who you sound like to someone that’s never heard you, what do you say

Melodic Alternative Rock. I can’t think of a similar band.

Tell us about your new single

I Can’t Breathe is about social anxiety and how it can incapacitate you when it hits. The first verse describes the feeling you get when you know it’s coming, you might be waiting in line to order food or something and as you get closer to the till you slowly feel this unwarranted fear taking ahold of you.

Then all of a sudden it’ll burst out in some form or another, whether it’s blood rushing to your cheeks or forgetting what to say or a sudden need to fidget etc.

The chorus is more specifically about the symptoms of a panic/anxiety attack, the inability to catch your breath or to see properly. The second verse is similar to the first in terms of theme. You could be with a group of friends but the feeling can still be there in the background, almost as if it’s sat in the crowd taunting you. Then the more you think about it, the more it begins to affect you.

Where can we get hold of it

Tell us how you write

Although ideas may sometimes stem from any single member, it is often built to its full potential using the creative input from the band as a whole. They also have a great relationship with their long-term producer Federica Telesca who handles everything from the pre-production process, to recording in the studio, to mastering the track.• Tell us about your live show? What would be your dream gig?

Roundhouse London is a fantastic venue. I would like a more theatrical-type performance with time for a variety of songs on the evening and space to move. I’ve admired the recent Rolling Stones shows where they have a long walkway out from the stage. Queen also had something like that last year. I’d like a big video screen behind us playing something relevant to the song and lots of smoke and lights.

What can we expect from you in the near future
