Tonights PigsX7 gig at Pop Recs in Sunderland opened up the Summer Street Festival which starts this Saturday at Cliffe park, Roker in Sunderland. TV Death were the first of the two support bands to perform. This was my first time seeing them perform and they blew me away with the raw riffs and thumping drums that you could really feel under your feet along with the vibrations of the heavy bass. TV Death are definitely a band you need to see perform.
Pit Pony were up next. I remember when I first got the chance to see this band perform at the Independent in Sunderland, and from that day forward they have always been a favourite. You can always rely on them to put on a great show no matter what.
Last but not least the band the crowd were waiting for PigsX7 came on stage and just started to play their brilliant brand of loud music that made you feel like the whole roof was going to come off with the heavy riffs and powerful bass. The lead singer owned the stage jumping about and going crazy interacting with the crowd. I was constantly waiting for a most pit to happen or for the lead singer to jump off stage into the crowd.
