Riding on the back of their latest (and 15th) album, I Like You A Lot Getting Older, The Hard-Ons bounded into Hobart’s Altar Bar (previously known as just ‘Altar’) to deliver some old-fashioned, sweaty and melodic punk rock in the style that has kept them revered in the eyes of their faithful following for decades.
With a catalogue that extends way back to 1982, The Hard-Ons have become part of Australian rock folk-lore, all the while maintaining their hard-work ethic and no-nonsense brand of good old rock and roll.
In recent years, the band have been joined by Tim Rogers (of You Am I fame) a long-time friend and fan, and his presence as frontman certainly adds to the overall aesthetic of The Hard-Ons.
The band didn’t disappoint, running through a repertoire of old and new material, with a strong emphasis on tracks from the last three albums, I Like You A Lot Growing Older, Ripper ’23 and I’m Sorry Sir, That Riff’s Been Taken.
