‘Caravan Place’ bring their energetic French Electro swing sounds to Brighton Dome on the leg of their current European tour. Right from the word go Brighton Dome erupted in dance and head popping aplenty and with the band dancing around the stage manoeuvring to various instruments! The Band itself are based in Paris with Zoe Colotis being the front woman with influences of the likes of Djanjo Reinard, Vitalic and Daft Punk.
The Band formed as a three piece when they were recruited to Compose the soundtrack of a silent
adult movie. In 2011 the band release an EP called ‘Clash’ which featured the songs ‘12 juin
3049’ and ‘Clash’.
Current band members include Zoe Colotis on vocals, Arnaud ‘Vilal’ de Bosredon on Composition and Guitar, Charles Delaporte on composition and Bass, Paul-Marie Barbier on Keyboard, Odd Berlugue on Trombone and Lucas Saint-Cricq on Saxophone and clarinet.
As soon as Caravan Palace came on stage, they hit the audience with a nonstop extravaganza with the introduction and influence of the roaring 20’s soundstage. At one point, Zoe gets the whole audience to jump higher, making the Dome’s wooden floor vibrate with the energy unleashed. She is truly in command of the stage with some solo Jass interludes and costume changes throughout the evening and certainly got the audience hooked with this theatrical experience!
