Polish Club bring their garage rock mayhem to the Roundhouse tonight. They are supported by Sweetie who get the crowd going with their distinctive brand of indie rock, despite losing a guitar midway through their set, which leads to some hilarious banter.
Press Club are up next, singer Natalie Foster jumps off the stage and into the crowd during the first song. The band races through a high energy set with Foster setting the pace – she’s a seemingly tireless dynamo.
Finally Polish Club hit the stage after anticipation has been building. There are many fans in the crowd wearing ‘Polish Club’ T shirts. David Novak saunters on stage and immediately hits his groove. The crowd laps it up. The band is tight tonight and continue playing even when one of John-Henry Pajak’s drums topples over, they don’t miss a beat. Polish Club are surely one of Sydney’s most exciting live acts and tonight they are in top form. Polish Club will be touring around Australia this April-get tickets if you can, this is a club that you should join!
