Tonight ARIA platinum-selling four-piece, Cub Sport (Tim Nelson, Sam Netterfield, Zoe Davis and Dan Puusaari) bring their ‘Jesus At The Gay Bar’ tour to the Enmore Theatre in Sydney. The music from their new album represents a progressive dance perspective loaded with house, 2-step and UK garage influences, while retaining the lush fragility of their past music. The album’s title was inspired by writer Jay Hulme’s poem of the same name.
Cub Sport bring an emotional depth to their performance. It’s evident that many of the songs hold personal significance to the band members, and that translates effortlessly to the audience. There are moments of pure euphoria, as well as moments of quiet introspection that hold us all in rapt attention.
