There was a crowd lined up outside the doors of the Oxford Art Factory tonight in anticipation of Alfie Templeman’s long awaited Sydney concert. Templeman has just released a new album, ‘Mellow Moon’ after making his professional debut in 2018. With his first single achieving over 140 million streams worldwide, he is clearly a star in the making. Striding onstage to the sound of Dire Straits’ ‘Money for Nothing’ Templeman and his band do not disappoint, it’s clear that they are having a good time – it’s infectious (possibly not a good word to use these days) and soon the crowd is bopping along. Templeman is a rising star and this is probably one of the last times that fans will get to see him perform in such an intimate setting. You can tell your kids that you were there!
