Gary Numan announces intimate Summer tour + festival dates.

As I mentioned in my last post about Gary Numan, I was a huge fan of his back in the day and remained so for many years. I still always look out for his releases and continue to follow his career with interest.

Like all artists who have had long careers in the music industry, Numan has had his ups and downs over the years; and has been unfairly maligned during much of that time. The last decade or so, however, has seen his stock and his reputation – like the cream to the top of the milk – steadily rise. He is now very much seen as a credible artist, and has responded with his most successful album in many years, Splinter, and probably the best received by critics, bar none.

In addition to this Numan has extensively, and successfully, toured Splinter very much re-establishing himself as a contemporary artist and by no means a nostalgia act. He is now following this up with a tour of intimate venues in the UK. The tour, in June and July, takes in a number of towns and cities that Numan has not played in a very long time, as he gets back to his roots to give fans the chance to see him up close and personal. Once again the new album will be at the centre of the set. He will also be playing a number of festivals over the summer.

Numan will be joined on the tour by special guests Roman Remains, the latest project from Liela Moss and Toby Butler of The Duke Spirit.

Tickets are now on sale, they are likely to go quickly!
