Andrew Tuttle performed works from his albums ‘Fleeting Adventure‘ and ‘Alexandra‘ at the Phoenix Central Park tonight. The audience was captivated by Tuttle’s sweeping musical soundscapes. Alone on stage, he plucked a banjo and conjured up waves of electronica from a PC, perfectly complemented by lighting that subtly shifted hues from warm daylight to the dark blues of night. It was a bit like taking a sonic journey across the wide expanse of Australia.
The Phoenix is an outstanding venue and provides the audience with a uniquely intimate view of the artist, whilst being ensconced in its voluptuous, wooden walls.
Phoenix Central Park’s Season VI, which is the newest programme from Sydney’s most beautiful listening room, kicks off soon and will feature an all-femme lineup including Carla Geneve, Courtney Barnett, Ashli, ACO Underground, Hextape, and more, from October to December 2022.
