Taking his usual stripped down acoustic Americana – with a little bit of alt-country and rock n roll thrown in for good measure, Kyle has doused it with tales of his spiritual evolution from a childhood of evangelical Christianity to existentially paralyzed adolescent, drunken romantic to neurotic but industrious artist, traversing the badlands of self-doubt, fear, repression, and near-despair, and charting the ongoing, non-linear path towards healing.
