UK wordsmith Jehst shares his new song, “Wild Herb.” The tune, released digitally in March, will also drop as a limited, 12-inch vinyl single, b/w “Autumn Nights,” on July 10th. The B-side features an assist from label mate Confucius MC.
“Wild Herb,” which was produced by Jehst, opens with a squiggly G-funk vibe, perfect for head nodding and bouncing car hydraulics. The talented emcee drops some poetic science, too: “all I need is my chronic/ and some fly sonics/ I’m a write a rhyme on it/ a sonnet built on a foundation/ so solid, check the resume/ I’m mega man/ I’m so brolic/broccoli blowing/ but I’m scheming on some property owning/ showing, no signs of the economy growing.”
