London based emcee BERWYN, who sings and raps, shares his new single, “Trap Phone.” The elegiac song features BERWYN spitting over a mournful piano melody, electronic drums and guitar squiggles. The video, directed by Brock Neale-Roberts, follows a pensive BERWYN, as he considers his ups and downs, and love, and the difficult challenges in his life.
Recently forced to move back to Trinidad, BERWYN created at a fever pitch in London over the course of two weeks, and the new single is part of that burst of creativity. BERWYN taught himself to play piano, guitar and violin and was featured on Later With Jools Holland, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCgZNvXz_1o., where he performed his previous single, “Glory.” Earlier, BERWYN also teamed up with Headie One and Fred again…for the Gang mixtape.
BERWYN’s first mixtape should be released later this year.
