Dead Slow Hoot have released their new video ‘An Island Keen To Float’.
Hailing from Sheffield, the 4-piece released their debut album ‘No Reunions’ earlier this year – a post-punk influenced album, that strides between gripping melodies and ferocious bursts of discordant noise, whilst drawing on influences from electronica, shoegaze, and rock.
‘An Island Keen To Float’ is definitely an eclectic offering. Wandering from retro surf guitar tones and Vegas lounge music, to a cacophonous wall of noise. And at nearly 7 mins long they’re not messing about.
Accompanied by a very unique video shot in Lewes, East Sussex, on November 5th, when a usually quiet town puts on a truly spectacular display to commemorate the execution of Guy Fawkes, with very little change from the town’s 18th century version.
