LIVE REVIEW: Blame Canada Tour – Spokane, Washington 14.08.2022

Co-headliners Simple Plan and Sum 41  brought the Blame Canada Tour tour to Spokane, Washington August 14 featuring support from Magnolia Park. Backseat Mafia’s Anthony Moore came down for the show at the Knitting Factory for a night of pop-punk early 2000’s nostalgia.

Sum 41 is celebrating 21 years since the release of their debut album “All Killer No Filler” playing four songs from the album including hits Fat Lip, Into Deep and Motivation and not often played song Never Wake Up as mentioned by singer Deryck Whibley. The rest of the set spanned Sum 41’s extensive catalog and including a cover of Queen’s We Will Rock You.

Simple Plan, also celebrating a milestone 20th anniversary of their first studio album “No Pads, No Hemets… Just Balls” had a set that included 5 songs off the debut album including a special guest performance of hit I’m Just A Kid featuring Magnolia Park’s lead singer Joshua Roberts. Simple Plan treated the crowd to a 20 year spanning setlist that featured a melody of covers including All-Star (Smashmouth), Sk8er Boi (Avril Lavigne), Mr. Brightside (The Killers) and the theme song to kids cartoon Whats New Scooby-Doo. Lead singer Pierre Bouvier confirming to the audience that Simple Plan did in fact do the theme song for the show.

The Blame Canada Tour wraps up Thursday August 18th at The Fillmore in Denver, Colorado. Simple Plan and Sum 41 will be touring later this year through out the United Kingdom and Europe and tickets are available now, visit officialsimpleplan.com and sum41.com for more details.
