Torn straight from The City of Culture, post-punk band LUMER introduce to us their latest single, ‘Homicide’. Ripped at every edge, with a white-knuckle freneticism and lyrics spat through gritted teeth, ‘Homicide’ has the post-punk attitude, but has twisted it into a much leaner, much wilder beast. The single was produced at The Nave in Leeds and will be released with Hull talent development label Warren Records.
Speaking about the track lead singer Alex Evans said “Homicide is about the destructive effect a person can have on another and the anxieties behind doubt.” After ripping apart the BBC Introducing stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend the band went on to win praise from Huw Stephens and John Kennedy. LUMER are now on the cusp of embarking on their first European tour including a headline show at The Old Blue Last.
